The Qur'anic Lens
Everything we do is grounded in a simple but often overlooked reality: the meaning is not limited to the translation. Allah has chosen His words very carefully to make sure His message to us is as clear and profound as possible. He uses certain words over others, in a certain order and with a deeper root concept underpinning each word.
The Qur'an describes its verses as basā'ir - eye-opening insights that illuminate reality. Our courses look beyond translation to the actual concepts and messages within the Qur'an. Rather than viewing the Qur'an through the lens of life, we aim to help you see life through the lens of the Qur'an! Through this, a Qur'anic worldview is reconstructed within you, allowing the Qur'an itself to define how you see and understand reality.
Building the Lens
Our approach is built on three interconnected layers, alongside focused modules designed to help you build a meaningful relationship with the Holy Qur'an. Each course acts like a torch held from a different angle - gradually illuminating the Qur'anic worldview with greater clarity and depth.
- Anwār al-Qur'an Mafāhīm (Concepts)

Our flagship Anwār al-Qur'an programme unearths the true Qur'anic concepts behind the verses through analysing the etymology of words and the way phrases within the verses are structured.
The programme focuses on the most common words of the Qur'an, which make up approximately 80–85% of its text. Each word is treated like a light (nūr): as they accumulate and connect to each other, Allah's divine guidance becomes visible like a constellation in the night sky.

This programme focuses on experiencing an even deeper meaning of the concepts and messages of the Qur'an.
Each concept is treated like a constellation that connects multiple verses together. Highlighting these makes the patterns of meaning more visible across the Qur'an, allowing you to develop a deeper, more integrated understanding of the holy book.

The verses of the Qur'an are called āyāt (signs) because they point to something. Building a Qur'anic Lens gives an opportunity to reflect on the guidance that becomes apparent and reflect on how this applies to our everyday lives.
Together, these lead to Uns (Intimacy) - a living connection and relationship with the Qur'an at multiple levels.
How it Works

Who teaches the courses?
The courses are taught by Shaykh Fazleabbas Kanji, who is currently pursuing his studies at the Islamic Seminary of Qum. He has completed a Master's programme in Islamic Jurisprudence, alongside ongoing studies in Qur'anic Tafsīr and Philosophy.
Prior to his hawza studies, he spent a year studying Arabic at the University of Damascus, as well as through private tuition. His primary academic interest, alongside his seminary studies, is in understanding and building a living relationship with the Holy Qur'an.
He has been teaching Mafāhīm and Tafsīr for over ten years, both within the Hawza and online, continuously refining and developing the courses over time with a focus on making the Qur'an more accessible and personally meaningful.
